Abstract: To master and meet the needs of higher vocational college students for mental health education courses, make the mental health education courses truly enter the hearts of students, and help students realize the unity of "knowledge", "feeling" and "behavior". Before studying this course, 960 students from Jiangxi Tourism and Commerce Vocational College were surveyed. Survey results: Before the course, most vocational college students do not know much about mental health, but the vast majority of students think that mental health is very important; The top three teaching contents that higher vocational students want to learn most are self-knowledge, interpersonal relationship and emotional management; The teaching methods favored by higher vocational students are the teaching methods that pay attention to experience and practice, such as similar situations, cases, league assistants, training and interviews.; Higher vocational students think that the quality and ability that mental health teachers need to have is reflected in their teaching methods, teaching attitude and teaching content design.; Higher vocational students like the relationship between teachers and students is the relationship between friends and cooperation; Vocational students take their homework seriously and like reading books and watching movies. According to the investigation conclusion, the author puts forward several thoughts.
