Abstract: In this study, comprehensively utilized the“dual integration”(industry-education integration, specialty-innovation integration) and coordinated with regional advantageous resources and characteristic industries to build a training system for cultivating the“dual innovation”capabilities of materials and chemical engineering major students. Through the“three-dimensional drive”of“subject competition, innovation practice and industry service”, students’ innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities are enhanced, including professional knowledge application ability, innovation awareness and creativity ability, engineering practice and technology service ability, providing valuable reference for the cultivation of applied talents in engineering majors such as polymer materials. College students with good entrepreneurial and entrepreneurial abilities cultivated can contribute to the rapid development of regional industry enterprises, assist in the construction of professional connotations, and accelerate the realization of the beautiful blueprint of“three high and four new”in Hunan Province.
