Teaching Reform of Organic Chemistry for Cultivating Innovative Talents

Abstract: Organic chemistry is a foundational discipline which plays a key role in other related disciplines. Based on the current situation of organic chemistry in universities, some teaching reforms have been proposed to meet scientific research requirements, such as offering an introductory course; conducting organic chemistry flipping classes via MOOC(Massive Open Online Courses) or other video courses; adopting virtual simulation technology to carry out organic chemistry experiments and the teaching of large instruments and equipment. Strategies can stimulate students’curiosity and exploratory spirit and achieve better teaching results in organic chemistry for scientific research.
