Abstract: This article conducts an in-depth study and practical exploration of the talent cultivation model in the material control profession of industry-oriented universities. Based on national strategic needs and industrial development trends, the problems in engineering education are identified, including unclear talent cultivation goals, homogenization of educational models, and insufficient depth in industry-education integration. Relying on the industry-academia-research cooperation model, the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Hubei Automotive Industry Institute has surveyed the material control profession, summarized the difficulties & pain points in teaching, and proposed strategies to construct an innovative talent cultivation model for outstanding engineering professionals. The article suggests clarifying talent cultivation goals, establishing a blended education platform for school-enterprise collaboration, innovating teaching methods, building an advanced curriculum system through school-enterprise synergy, implementing project-driven teaching, and developing a top-notch engineering education teaching team as countermeasures. These strategies aim to enhance the quality of applied talent cultivation, achieve the goals of “strengthening abilities, highlighting distinctive features, and emphasizing individuality”, and establish a collaborative education model through industry-education integration facilitated by school-enterprise dual-teacher synergy.
