Abstract: The construction of new engineering disciplines is aimed at responding to the challenges of the new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation, actively promoting the reform and innovation of engineering education, and committed to cultivating a group of diversified and innovative outstanding engineering and technological talents who can adapt to the times and future changes. In this context, the talent cultivation and curriculum system optimization of local universities in China should meet and adapt to the demand for talents in the new era. Based on the integration of the talent chain, innovation chain, and industry chain, the three chains should be optimized and improved in terms of talent cultivation goals, promoting the integration of school enterprise industry and education, faculty team construction, and curriculum teaching methods, in order to meet the needs of application-oriented talent cultivation in the new era. This article explores a new mechanism for cultivating applied talents from the perspective of innovative talent training models in electrical engineering, drawing on the theory and methods of“three chain integration”, and providing theoretical basis and practical reference for improving the quality of talent training in applied universities.
