Abstract: In the present stage of higher vocational education, ideological and political theory is an important course to strengthen students' thoughts, improve students' understanding, and cultivate students' values. Starting from the education of Chinese excellent traditional culture, this paper explores the education mode in line with the characteristics of higher vocational education, embodies the value of Chinese excellent traditional culture in ideological and political course teaching, and implements Chinese excellent traditional culture and ideological and political course education in a complementary and complementary way.
