Abstract: With the deepening of the new curriculum reform,the application of hierarchical grouping teaching method in high school track and field teaching can remove students' conflicting feelings,lighten the burden of teachers' guidance work, improve teaching efficiency and optimize the interactive effect,lay a good foundation for the efficient implementation of follow-up personnel training plan. We should divide students into groups according to their personality characteristics,personality characteristics and actual needs,introduce the key points and difficulties at different levels,and further improve the effectiveness of classroom teaching through the creation of situations,group discussions and so on. This paper mainly analyses the application of the grouping and layering teaching method in the track and field teaching of senior high school.
