Abstract: Vocational colleges aim to cultivate high-quality skilled talents, not only serving society and promoting local industrial and economic development, but also shouldering the responsibility of inheriting local characteristic culture. This article analyzes the theoretical basis, necessity, and feasibility of integrating local culture into the cultivation of design talents in higher vocational education, and examines the existing problems. Effective solutions are explored from the aspects of resource sharing, teaching innovation, and school enterprise cooperation to cultivate design talents with both international perspectives and understanding of local culture.
