Abstract: With the rapid development of information technology, artificial intelligence (AI) has become an important driving force for innovation and development in modern society. In the field of higher education, especially in English teaching in universities, the application of artificial intelligence is gradually changing the traditional teaching mode, enriching teaching resources, innovating teaching modes, and providing assistance for the reform of English education and teaching. This article elaborates on the current direction of the integration and application of artificial intelligence in college English teaching, and proposes its expanded application in innovative teaching of college English. It is expected to continuously explore the potential of artificial intelligence in teaching, provide assistance for innovative reform and sustainable development of college English teaching, and provide reference for the integration of artificial intelligence into college teaching.
