Abstract: The Sixth Plenary Session of the 17th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China clearly requires that "the socialist core value system is the soul of rejuvenating the country and must be integrated into the whole process of national education". Private colleges and universities have become an important part of higher education in China .Because its school nature, teacher level, school conditions, policy support and other aspects are different from the public institutions.So in the new era, based on the situation of private colleges and universities, combined with the dual college system, research will help promote the healthy development of private colleges and universities.this paper explains the necessity of the education of socialist core values in private colleges and universities in the new era, the main problems faced by the education of social core values in private colleges and universities in the new era, and the countermeasures for the education of socialist core values.
