船舶设计原理课程教学中案例教学法的应用探索

Application of Project Case Method in the Course of Ship Design Principle

摘要: 船舶设计原理课程的工程性和实践性极强,旨在使学生掌握船舶总体设计流程、具备初步开展船舶总体设计的能力。在课程教学中引入案例教学法,能够重视案例背景及其应用,强调案例引导问题设定。该文针对“船型方案构思及主要要素确定”知识点,以散货船发展历程为背景,详细介绍案例方案的考虑要点及主要要素确定过程。教学实践表明:案例教学法的引入有助于学生对知识点的理解和掌握,培养学生的工程意识。

Abstract: The course of ship design principle is highly engineering and practical. Its targets make the students to fully understand the general design process of ship and to have the ability to perform the overall ship design. The case teaching method is introduced during the course teaching. The selection case background and its application in teaching are emphasized. Problem introduction for case teaching method is focused during the teaching implementation. Taking the theoretical knowledge points of“conception of ship scheme and dimensions determination”as an example, the development of bulk carrier designed by the loading capacity is introduced firstly. Then design considerations and dimensions determination procedure for ship scheme are descripted in detail. Preliminary teaching practice showed that the introduction of case method not only helped the students to understand and master the theoretical knowledge, but also cultivated students'engineering consciousness.
