Abstract: Under the background of new engineering, according to the characteristics of polymer material forming and processing specialty courses, focusing on meeting the development, transformation and upgrading requirements of market economy and emerging industries in the Yangtze River Delta region, especially in Jiangsu Province, the teaching of the course focuses on the target orientation of market and industrial needs, and carries out reform and innovation exploration in the teaching of the course. Enhance students' mastery of professional background knowledge related to the industry, improve teaching quality and teaching effect, be competent for the development requirements of the industry, improve the ability of engineering theory and practice, and cultivate innovative professionals who adapt to the regional economy.
