Abstract: Innovation ability training is the implementation of quality education is an important part of local agricultural colleges must strengthen training and improve the students' ability of innovation in science and engineering, better service to our country modern rural development, local economic development and agricultural modernization, to better meet the new rural construction of agricultural science and technology innovative talents demand, the cultivation of innovation ability can meet the needs of innovative talents in the era of innovation and entrepreneurship. This paper summarizes the current situation of the innovation ability of science and engineering students in local agricultural colleges and the constraints in the cultivation. By analyzing the significance of improving the innovation ability of science and engineering students in local agricultural colleges, it puts forward the methods and suggestions to enhance the innovation ability of science and engineering students in local agricultural colleges under the new situation. It provides some reference for guiding college students of science and engineering, carrying out scientific innovation and scientific research.
