Abstract: The discipline competition has become an important platform to cultivate the innovation and entrepreneurship ability of college students and it also reflected education quality of Colleges and universities, but the organization and management of discipline competition in many colleges and universities is still absent. Taking D University as an example, this paper analyzes some main problems existing in the organization and management of discipline competition, and puts forward suggestions for improving the organization and management of discipline competition in D University from the aspects of strengthening centralized and unified leadership, establishing multi department collaborative participation mechanism, introducing project management mode, clarifying every organization's responsibility, integrating scientific research resources, and giving full play to the talent advantages of colleges. It has certain significant reference for other universities.
