Abstract: Implementation of general secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on higher education reform, let moral education into the classroom of higher education, so that moral education and intellectual education are no longer the two parallel lines that do not intersect. According to the characteristics of each chapter of electric power system foundation, the corresponding ideological and political elements are integrated, and different teaching methods are adopted, such as discussion method, brainstorming method, flipped classroom method, analogy method and teaching method, which enhances the students' sense of national pride, helps students to establish "overall concept", and forms a class atmosphere of mutual help and mutual love.
