Abstract: Chinese excellent traditional culture is the unique symbol of the Chinese nation, and it is also the valuable material of ideological and political education. We should let Chinese excellent traditional culture into the classroom, and enhance students' recognition of excellent traditional culture with the integration of Chinese excellent traditional culture education and ideological and political education, so as to stimulate their national cultural self-confidence. The integration of the two also brings innovation of ideological and political education, especially the enrichment of ideological and political education materials, and creates a new pattern of ideological and political education. This paper mainly discusses the integration of Chinese excellent traditional culture education and ideological and political education, and thinks about the construction strategy of the new pattern of ideological and political education under the background of Chinese excellent traditional culture inheritance, so as to really improve the effectiveness of ideological and political education and the inheritance of traditional classic culture, and boost the construction of china's cultural power.
