Abstract: Colleges and universities gradually began to implement the complete credit system, which contains the "people-oriented" educational thought. It not only has various forms of education and flexible teaching management process, but also can cultivate students' personality and stimulate their potential. It is welcomed and praised by the majority of students, and meets the requirements of the new era for the cultivation of young students. However, in the implementation of the full credit system at the same time, there should be students in the same class are not in the same class, while the students in the same class are from different grades, majors and classes. If colleges and universities implement the "dormitory optional" mode again, there will be the phenomenon of different colleges, majors and classes in the same dormitory, which will break the traditional ideological and political education platform class, it brings great inconvenience to the ideological and political work in Colleges and universities. In this paper, Beijing Institute of Technology, Zhuhai(hereinafter referred to as "Beijing Institute of Technology,Zhuhai") arts and science two kinds of dormitory as the research object, field visits, in-depth interviews with dormitory students, found that the dormitory will become an important platform for ideological and political education of college students under the full credit system, the implementation of new dormitory management mode, new mechanism is urgent.
