摘要: 掺铒光纤放大器(EDFA)的概念相对抽象,理论推导过程非常复杂,传统理论教学难以激发学生的学习兴趣。 为此,该文将Matlab引入EDFA的仿真辅助教学中,并利用Matlab强大的数值解析功能建立了经典的EDFA仿真模型。仿真结果直观地展示了EDFA的增益与饵纤的长度以及增益和泵浦功率之间的关系。推导过程简化和Matlab的形象直观的仿真结果相结合有利于激发学生的学习兴趣,加深学生的对EDFA的理解。

Abstract: The concept of erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) is relatively abstract and the theoretical derivation process is very complex, so it is difficult for traditional theoretical teaching to stimulate students' learning interest. For this reason, in this paper MATLAB is introduced into EDFA simulation assistant teaching, and the classic EDFA simulation model is established by using the powerful numerical analysis function of MATLAB. The simulation results show the relationship between EDFA gain and the length of the Erbium-doped fiber as well as gain and pump power. The combination of simplified derivation process and the visual simulation results of Matlab are conducive to stimulating students' learning interest and deepening their understanding of EDFA.
