Abstract: Cultural self-confidence is the most important content of the "four self-confidence" proposed by General Secretary Xi, that is, the confidence in the heritage of five thousand years of Chinese civilization, and the confidence in the world of big country culture in the new era. Integrating excellent traditional culture into the ideological and political work of colleges and Universities can not only enrich the connotation of Ideological and political education in Colleges and universities, but also inherit and develop the excellent traditional culture of our country。This paper analyzes the problems existing in the combination of Ideological and political work and excellent traditional culture in Colleges and universities, and puts forward effective measures to tap traditional culture, innovate ideological and political education and increase cultural self-confidence.
