摘要： 标题是对文学作品内涵和精神的提炼。本文依据苏珊·巴斯奈特的文化翻译观,从文化层面分析《喜福会》中章节标题的汉译。本文主要选择三本国内译本——程乃珊译本,田青译本,和吴汉平译本作为语料来源进行对比。在处理章节标题的翻译时,译者只有处理好不同的语言承载的不同文化差异才能使译文用最切近和最自然对等语来再现原文的信息。

Abstract: The title is a refinement of the connotation and spirit of literary works. Based on Susan Bassnett’s cultural translation theory, this thesis attempts to analyze the Chinese version of the titles in The Joy Luck Club from the cultural dimension at great length. Three main Chinese versions, translated by Cheng Naishan, Tian Qing and Wu Hangping are chosen as the main materials. Through comparative study, we can see that, the translator should first deal with the cultural differences in two languages so as to convey the information in the original text and the thinking habits with the closest and natural language.
