Abstract: Currently, many vocational colleges face the common problems of a disconnect between the training objectives of applied English talents and the needs of local industries. Taking Jinzhong city, Shanxi Province as a case study, this paper constructs and implements a“2112”talent training model for the applied English majors, addressing the actual demands of local economic and social development for English professionals. By optimizing the curriculum system, this model effectively enhances students' job competence and employment competitiveness, providing valuable references for the transformation and reform of foreign language programs in peer institutions.
